MAKING A CUBIC METRE

Some of our class were reading about dams and how water is stored. The article kept referring to cubic metres and we were not sure how big a cubic metre really is.... SO we made one out of newspaper! It wasnt very sturdy so Jack decided to make one out of wood. He cut up 12 pieces of wood to 1 metre lengths at home, then at school with the help of Mr Parnell he drilled holes and put screws in to hold it all together. Now it's stuck in our classroom and a favourite place to do our learning!
